BREAKING NEWS: Denovia Labs’ Plastic Upcycling Solution Technology Works At Scale

From a small Canadian laboratory to a potential multi-billion dollar valuation, Denovia Labs tackles environmental pollution at its core by bringing fast, cost-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions to plastic waste on a commercial scale.

Nestled in London, Canada, Nick Spina, Founder of ethey, is also the Founder and wheels behind Denovia Labs.

His mission?

Reinventing the plastic remanufacturing industry by dissolving and upcycling plastic waste.

Such technology transforms waste into its base chemical building blocks to be properly used for better purposes, including agricultural biostimulants, water treatment, and recovery of “critical metals”, among other objectives. This unique technology is powered by their state-of-the-art Depolymerization machine, which through a heated reactor, and in conjunction with their “secret sauce”, works to dissolve plastic waste.

But what makes this machine so extraordinary? A combination of cost efficiency, fast commercial scale, and sustainability efforts. At its core, their 1,000-liter system allows for productivity to increase exponentially and for production to be done in fast, large bulk scales, as the machine runs multiple times per day, in a short period: between 5-15 minutes. When compared to anything in the industry, such a process takes roughly 5 hours.

Without requiring specialty or expensive hardware, Denovia Labs presents an economic solution that is easily and widely scaled. Additionally, such an effective machine allows the natural resource to be recycled an infinite amount of times, shortening the environmental impact of the production of plastic and consequently waste, with profit margins of up to 65%.

As if that weren’t impressive already, their advanced technology in the P.E.T (polyethylene terephthalate) market and unique Depolymerization machine produce 100% recycled pellets sold at competitive rates. Compared with the usual recycling heat mold, only 10% of plastic is taken for heating and molding, allowing the rest to end up in landfills and oceans, which defies its purpose of decreasing plastic waste. Spina’s accomplishments are magic in front of everyone’s eyes and allow for high productivity and efficiency towards plastic waste upcycling. This breakthrough is a glimpse of hope towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

With such cutting-edge technology in place, and the machine up and running, Spina has focused his energy on scaling the company even more to meet increasing demand and his wish of upscaling to a 50,000-liter facility. For this goal to be obtained, good relationships and partners—aligned with their vision—are crucial, and Denovia Labs is working diligently on maintaining close contact with their partnerships, with Spina instilling the mindset of “winning together and losing together.”

Whether it is through agreements with Goodwill (dissolving tons of textile waste)—recycling 30,000 pounds of hospital garments all across Canada, or through big financing partners like the government of Canada and Ontario, Spina’s hard work and innovation in the plastic upcycling field attracts corporations all around him.

One of the newest partnerships Denovia Labs obtained was Jett Capital—a firm dedicated to advancing the supply of critical resources and development of new technologies—who are in the process of raising a $40 million investment.

Jett Capital is not only helping Denovia Labs financially but also, according to Spina, to scale. “They’re an equity partner of ours, and together we are raising the $40 million needed to finance our facility,” he shares. “Their network is fantastic. We spent some time with them in New York and are very excited to see where our relationship can go.”

Strategic alliances like that are exactly what will expand Denovia Labs on a global scale, while also reshaping the narrative surrounding plastics as not villains, but as valuable resources waiting to be reborn.

Step by Step, Denovia Labs is dissolving the plastic issue, with the help of their unique, profitable, and environmentally responsible technology. Such a sustainable empire will continue to revolutionize the plastic remanufacturing industry, and alongside Spina’s mission, what will continue to be the center focus of the company are partnerships. With strong connections and support, sustainability and environmental stewardship will continue to strengthen, paving the way for a cleaner and greener future.
